What is the first that comes to mind when someone mentions Twenty8Twelve? Most people immediately think of Sienna and Savannah Miller. But The Millers have left the label in January but has by no means dampened the ambition of the label, who go forward under the name Twenty8Twelve London, rather than Twenty8Twelve by S.Miller as it was previously known. Twenty8Twelve is a contemporary London-based label known for its uniquely British style of feminine with an effortlessly cool vibe and edgy pieces.

Starting afresh with a new direction and a new head designer Elsa Elphick for their A/W 12 collection, it is indeed an exciting Twenty8Twelve’s first season for the label. After having debuted their A/W 12 collection during LFW, I was lucky enough to attend the presentation of Twenty8Twelve event hosted at Rossano Ferretti beautiful Mayfair salon to see the their A/W 12 collection.

Quite frankly I really didn’t know what to expect from the presentation before hand. So it was really exciting to see the new collection. Fortunately, the collection was emphatic continuation of the label’s signature style and artistic expression has played a key role in this collection.

The collection was beautifully executed with the youth subcultures of the 60s inspiration. Having said that, the collection took inspiration from the city’s famous tailoring houses of the Sixties. Twenty8Twelve have offered up more fashion forward shapes that are simple, oversized sleek tailoring sharp jackets and classic overcoats. With voluminous loose fittings baby-doll shapes dresses and louche wide-cut trousers countered sleek trousers.

Standouts in this collection showcasing were the vibrant colour palette of pink and pastel, shades of grey and black andusing vivid colours of green and red which panels a sharp blocks of colour that brough brightness to the collection yet keeping it sophisticated. The hair was tousled and the make-up bare with red lip, as if to suggest that this was your every day girl, doing every day things. The presentation was collaborated with Rossano Ferretti team of hairstylist to create their views on the instinct of feminine beauty.

Here are some of my favourites so far and what really caught my eye is the beautiful print fabric with a sophisticated colour Massie dress and short heines paired with sheer top and jackets bring a pop of colour on a dull autumn day and the to-die-for perfect pants.

The collection were the kinds of clothes that anyone can pull off and look absolutely stunning in.! Twenty8Twelve A/W 12 collection was perfectly balanced, confident and well- executed. I ‘m definitely looking forward to seeing more from Twenty8Twelve. That’s what make me excited about London fashion! Twenty8Twelve does not dissapoint with their latest collection for A/W 2012-13. The collection is a creative mix of femininity and edgyness with stunning color palettes. Can’t wait to wear it all.
