The Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company returns to Flushing Town Hall for CrossCurrent

After extensive New York and New Jersey touring of the Company’s Chinese Lunar New Year of the Sheep production, Company members shed their colorful silk costumes of Chinese folk dances and return to simple jersey leotards and tights of modern dance to work on their next new piece to be showcased at Flushing Town Hall in the center of Queens, New York, on March 22, 2015, at 3pm. GHAZAL ENSEMBLE to perform 20th anniversary concert at Pace University in NYC

The Grammy-nominated Ghazal Ensemble, the brainchild of Iranian kamancheh virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor and Indian sitar master Shujaat Husain Khan, and featuring acclaimed Indian percussionist Sandeep Das, return to New York City for a special 20th anniversary concert on Sunday March 22nd at 7:30pm at Pace University’s Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts. « more »
