Performers Bio:
Young Kin: Born in Switzerland to a Chinese father and Swiss mother, Andreas Hwang, more commonly known as artist Young Kin(YK), was no stranger to the international community that helped shape his multicultural representation. Growing up in Beijing, China, at the early age of four, provided the diverse backdrop that heavily influenced the style and topics in which he incorporates into his music. Channeling the urban edge of hip-hop, YK utilizes the art form to deliver rhymes in Mandarin Chinese full of truth and philosophical undertones. Yet with a combination of Western swagger mixed with Eastern tradition, the musical result just might alter the direction and future of the Chinese youth culture, the world over.
Pamela J Powell: a talented vocalist, Pamela Powell was born in Cebu City, Philippines. She had her first stage performance at age of 3 and has participated various live contests including Junior Idol, and Miss Teen USA NY. She can sing R&B, Pop, Hip Hop, Neo soul and anything! DJ Chozie: made his name as a DJ and a producer in Taiwan and Australia, having produced tracks for F4’s Ken Chu, Joey Yung, and Taiwan TV host Momoko Tao. He’s also remembered around pan china for his “Chozie 18” double CD, the best-selling dance music album to come out of Taiwan. He then left his mark on Taipei by being the first pop star DJ and now a DJ producer in Beijing. He has twice rated most popular Asian DJ and opener for the likes of Sasha and the Jungle Brothers. Recently Chozie DJed for Shaun White’s Air + Style 2010 Global Snowboarding Challenge in Beijing.
DJ J4: released 4 rap albums in Taiwan. He performed in many famous clubs in Taiwan, as time goes by, he becomes an important role in Taiwan Hip Hop field through holding lots of party and DJ in concert tours.
DJ Borne: an amazing DJ from New York. He recently performed at the first “Hello Taiwan Rocks!” concert in NY where his music and skills were heard by a room full of passionate music goers.
