The New York Chinese Cultural Center Presents 37th Annual Fundraising Gala

New York, NY- The New York Chinese Cultural Center is proud to present its 37th Annual Fundraising Gala On May 5th 2011 at Cue Art Foundation (511 West 25th Street, New York, NY 10001). You are cordially invited to The New York Chinese Cultural Center’s 37th Annual Fundraising Gala. Starting at 6:30pm enjoy dim sum and wines while you mingle with council members, business leaders, and community members. Don’t forget to participate in the silent auction and try to outbid your fellow guests for some fabulous prizes courtesy of our sponsors and affiliates. At 7:45pm we will have an award ceremony honoring Families with Children From China. Finally, enjoy performances- a zither performance from acclaimed musician Allen Wong and a double sword dance by Tiffany Chan, an advanced student at the School of the Arts- while indulging in desserts from Financier Patisserie. All proceeds from the event will benefit the New York Chinese Cultural Center.

Founded in 1974, the New York Chinese Cultural Center is a performing arts and educational organization that promotes the understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture by preserving traditional genres and nurturing innovations that reflect our dynamic and diverse cultural heritage. For over 36 years, we have accomplished our mission by offering professional classes, workshops, and performances in traditional dance, arts, and culture. Our Assembly program has toured 26 states and reaches over 150,000 people every year. Our performances have been featured on nationally televised programs such as the ‘National Geographic Today’, the 73rd Annual Academy Awards and the PBS special ‘The Chinese Americans’ – reaching millions of American viewers.

We are pleased to recognize Families With Children From China (FCC) as our honoree.

FCC is a nondenominational organization of families who have adopted children from China. FCC serves as a network of support for families who’ve adopted in China and provides information to prospective parents wishing to adopt from China. ‘)}
