Hong Kong Seminar Promotes Role as Asia's Logistics Hub

About 200 executives attended the seminar-cum-luncheon “Hong Kong as Regional Logistics Hub – The Best Link in Your Global Supply Chain,” held September 6 in New York.

The program featured speakers from both Hong Kong and the U.S. They spoke on Hong Kong’s latest development as Asia’s key logistics hub; the city’s experience in handling pressing international logistics challenges; and how U.S. exporters and logistics providers can benefit from Hong Kong’s unique role and services.

In the keynote address, Hong Kong’s Deputy Secretary for Transport and Housing, Doris Cheung, highlighted Hong Kong’s logistics capabilities and strengths as well as new developments, including initiatives that should entrench its role as a regional logistics hub.

The event was organized by Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office New York, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council and was supported by the U.S. Commercial Service, the Hong Kong Association of New York, the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce and media partner Journal of Commerce.
