TWELFTH NIGHT features an all Asian cast starring Tina Chilip as Viola, a refugee who finds herself shipwrecked on the mysterious island of Illyria. She falls in love with the Duke Orsino (Kurt Uy), who is in love with the Countess Olivia (Eileen Rivera). Hilarity ensues, fueled by hijinks provided by her clown, Feste (Jojo Gonzalez), Sir Toby (Jon Roque), Sir Andrew (Marcus Ho), and Malvolio (Andrew Eisenman). Also featured are Chris Doi as Sebastian, Viola’s long-lost brother, his pirate companion, Antonio (Eugene Oh). This powerhouse cast also includes Ka-ling Cheung and Karen Lee sharing the role of Maria, as well as Roger Yeh as Valentine/Fabian.

TWELFTH NIGHT will be directed by artistic director Nelson T. Eusebio III, featuring original music by veteran Broadway actor/composer Jason Ma (BROADWAY: MISS SAIGON, SHOGUN THE MUSICAL, SLY FOX). Sets and costumes will be designed Maiko Chii, lights by Melissa Mizell, and sound by Sam Kusnetz. Natalie Zhang is the Stage Manager.
WHO: Obie Award-winning actor Jojo Gonzalez (Romance of Magno Rubio) and Tina Chilip (Flipzoids, Joy Luck Club) lead an all Asian American cast from Leviathan Lab, a professional creative studio invested in advancing the careers of Asian American performing artists.
WHAT: Inspired by the films of auteur Wong Kar-wai, Leviathan Lab’s Artistic
Director Nelson T. Eusebio III (Assistant Director, All’s Well That Ends Well, The Public Theater/NYSF’s Shakespeare in the Park 2011) directs the production with original music by veteran Broadway actor/composer Jason Ma (Sly Fox, Miss Saigon), choreography by Dax Valdes, and sets & costumes by Maiko Chii (Oenslager Fellowship, Elson Award). Featuring an all-Asian American cast, Leviathan Lab will present TWELFTH NIGHT with a vision that draws upon a vivid romanticism and the dynamic range of Eastern and Western aesthetics that influenced Hong Kong in the 1960s.
