International Film Maker David Christopher Lee Releases “The Madame”

David Christopher Lee, L.A.’s vanguard luxury film maker, has released “The Madame,” a short film that showcases the daring manipulations of the Madame’s band of femme-fatale thieves.

Produced by Les Anges de la Societe, electric editing and a flair for seductive storytelling make “The Madame” a wild ride through L.A.’s premier fashion set featuring the designs of couturier Lloyd Klein. You’ll have the feeling after watching the clip that you have just witnessed the karmic underbelly of today’s most innovative and fashion forward. Just look for the synchronized swimmers–they add an old world-charm to this daring piece.

Former Vogue covergirl Lesa Amoore stars as “The Madame” alongside Amber Stevens, Celeste Thorson & Jason Yee. Pop Star Drew Seeley makes a special appearance alongside some of Los Angeles’s most sophisticated.

Staged at the historical Avalon Hotel and shot during a live and unscripted, un-staged cocktail party, Lee’s four minute film produces a lush look at how a modern Robin Hood gang of women uses their wiles, beauty and seductive charm to right the wrongs in the fashion, film and modeling industries.

Using live shooting techniques and exquisite editing and sharp color focus, Lee creates a pulsating meditation on the Haves and the Have Mores.

Says Lee about his kinetic meditation on the nouveau-riche: ”As an LA native, I wanted to show the luxury and glamour that LA has to offer. ‘The Madame’ is a short film about fashion, power, and beauty. I chose to shoot it at the Avalon Hotel because of its mid-century modern architecture and historical significance. The staging and the action in the film are all meant to showcase the ephemeral but eternal beauty and style that haunts this city.”
