Richard Chai is an American fashion designer. Chai creates clothes for an eponymous label. Before launching his own line, he designed for Marc by Marc Jacobs.

In 2008, he released a capsule line under Target’s Go International.

AnnaLynne McCord attended the Somaly Mam Foundation’s Gala dressed in a Richard Chai Exclusive Gown Inspired by EFFEN® Vodka. Richard Chai has been partnering with EFFEN® and DIFFA: Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, for the past year. As part of this partnership Richard designed a custom gown inspired by EFFEN®, that will be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to DIFFA.

The dress worn by AnnaLynne McCord last night was inspired by EFFEN’s modern design aesthetic and expertly crafted by Richard Chai combining the soft fluidity of chiffon with satin and structured silk taffeta, and showcasing elegant hand pleated detailing.
