Internationally acclaimed Liao Wen Ho Puppet Theatre performs in the classic style of Taiwanese glove puppetry with a cast of puppet characters ranging in design from regal to fantastical.

Founded in1976, the troupe preserves this traditional puppetry art while introducing innovations such as an expansive stage, lighting and special effects and large-size puppets, including fanciful animals and martial arts action-figures. Director Liao Wen Ho is considered to be the foremost puppeteer in Taiwan with the ability to voice more than twenty different characters and manipulate each puppet’s movements with amazing dexterity.

Liao Wen Ho Puppet Theatre has promoted the awareness of Taiwanese culture on the world stage, with tours to Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Korea, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the United States.
