The 30th annual Cruise Shipping Miami conference and exhibition opens today March 10 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The show runs through Thursday, March 13.

Taiwan and Hong Kong recently signed the ‘Asian cruise project’ Cooperation Agreement (Asia Cruise Fund), look to the rise of Asia cruise industry, work together to promote development. Taiwan and Hong Kong last year succeeded in bringing the Mariner of the Sea, a cruise ship carrying more than 6,000 tourists, to Taiwan.

Taiwan-Hong Kong Asia Cruise Fund agrees that both sides would jointly assist international cruise liners in promoting cruises ship tours between Taiwan and Hong Kong. The fund would be in effect for three years, with the first phase of operation scheduled to begin in April.

The two parties also has agreed to jointly promote Taiwan-Hong Kong cruise tours at an international exhibition in the US, “Cruise Shipping Miami.” You can stop by the booths to receive more information at Hong Kong Tourism Board (Booth 525) and Taiwan Tourism Bureau (Booth 517).
