METS TO HOST TAIWAN HERITAGE NIGHT PRESENTED BY TAIWAN TOURISM

The New York Mets today announced the 10th annual Taiwan Heritage Night, presented by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, will take place Saturday, August 30 at Citi Field when the Mets host the Philadelphia Phillies at 7:10 p.m.

Fans will be entertained pregame on the Mets Plaza beginning at 6:00 p.m. by Taiwanese aboriginal dance, Techno Santaizi (Dancing Prince) and Taiwanese singing performances. The first pitch will be by Yen-Hsun (Rendy) Lu, the top ranked tennis professional from Taiwan and ranked in the top 100 for six straight years. The Taiwanese mascot “Oh Bear” will appear throughout the game and interact with Mr. Met and be available for photo opportunities with fans.

The first 750 purchasers through a special online offer at Mets.com/Taiwan will receive a limited edition of Taiwanese cheering sticks.
