The South Asian International Film Festival, presented by HBO, celebrates its eleventh incredible year with more films, stars, and events than ever – overseen by its new Executive Director, Joya Dass.

Television personality Joya Dass is first generation Indian-American. In her 15 years in TV, Dass has worked for Bloomberg, CNN, ABC, CBS, and can currently be seen anchoring business news for NY1. For over a decade, she has also anchored a popular Saturday entertainment show called AVS, featuring upcoming attractions from the Indian film industry, better known as Bollywood. Joya has headed up production crews on film projects in India for the Sankara Eye Foundation and Africa for the Rockefeller Foundation. Her documentary, First Sight, made its world premiere at SAIFF in 2013.

The Eleventh Annual South Asian International Film Festival runs from Tuesday, November 18th through Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 in New York City.
