METS TO HOST TAIWAN HERITAGE NIGHT PRESENTED BY TAIWAN TOURISM BUREAU ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 AT CITI FIELD

The New York Mets today announced the 11th annual Taiwan Heritage Night, presented by the Taiwan Tourism Bureau, will take place Friday, August 14 at Citi Field when the Mets host the Pittsburgh Pirates at 7:10 p.m.

Fans will be entertained pregame on the Mets Plaza beginning at 6:00 p.m. by The DaBangNi Band, which is a traditional Taiwanese Hakka band directed by “A-Chang.” The band will shift to perform on the field at 6:40 p.m. and be joined by Queens native rapper and songwriter Miss Ko, who won the 24th Annual Golden Melody award in 2013 (Taiwanese version of a Grammy).

The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Taiwanese American celebrity “Miss Ko.” The Taiwanese mascot “Oh Bear” will appear throughout the game and interact with Mr. Met and be available for photo opportunities with fans.

The first 300 purchasers showing their special Taiwan Night tickets at the Group Sales Redemption Booth – behind section 130 – will receive a limited edition Taiwanese Noise Maker.

Tickets are on sale for the August 14 Taiwan Heritage Night at Mets.com/Taiwan, by phone at (718) 507-TIXX, or in person at the Jackie Robinson Rotunda ticket windows. ‘)}
