EVA Adds 2nd Philippine Gateway, Starts Cebu Flights

EVA Air is launching daily flights between Taipei and Cebu in The Philippines, starting 27 March, 2016. The new nonstops complement EVA’s existing twice daily service to Manila and, with the option of flying into one gateway and returning from the other, expand itinerary possibilities for Philippines-bound passengers. A thriving business and trade center, Cebu also offers a rich cultural heritage as the oldest city in The Philippines and location of the first Spanish settlement. It is also known for stunning mountain views, beautiful beaches, excellent diving and luxurious resorts. Information about EVA’s inflight hospitality, services and schedules is available at www.evaair.com.

Early morning arrivals and easy one-stop connections make the new Cebu service especially convenient for EVA passengers from North America, including Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver. The airline is serving the route with comfortable Airbus 321-200s configured to carry eight passengers in Business Class and 176 in Economy. EVA flight BR281 departs Taipei’s Taoyuan International Airport at 7:10 am and arrives in Mactan-Cebu Philippines International Airport at 10:05 am. Flight BR282 returns from Mactan-Cebu at 11:05 am and lands back in Taoyuan at 2:00 pm (14:00).

EVA makes quality service and safety priorities throughout all of its operations. In 2015, AirlineRatings.com ranked the airline’s Elite Class premium economy and Economy service among the world’s top-10 “best for economy plus and economy class travel” and, for the third consecutive year, recognized EVA among the world’s Top-10 Best Airlines. SKYTRAX awarded EVA its top, first-place rating for Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness. Repeatedly since 2004, Aero International has ranked it among the world’s 10 safest airlines. AirlineRatings.com recognized it among the world’s Top-20 Safest Airlines for 2016.
